It has been 4 years since we have “wintered” in Iowa. B-r-r-r-r-r……Florida is a little warmer and much more comfortable. Spending the winter there is a little bit on the lazy side of life but when your retired, that is what your looking forward to.
We stayed here in order to do some updating and refurbishing of our house. It has been quite a few years since the last updating has been done. We wanted to redo our upstairs bedroom and make it into a visitor/sitting room, complete with a 43″ TV, a couple of comfortable chairs and a futon for sitting and sleeping. It is almost finished, there is some touch up painting and the carpet has been ordered and will be installed when it comes in.
Colors are Tin Foil (walls) and Liquid Mercury (trim) that’s a light gray and a dark gray. 
We are patiently waiting for spring to come around. It is our wish to return to our summer job again this year as Campground Hosts at one of our local county parks, more on that subject later.
