Wow, where has the summer gone, The kids are about ready to head back to school and Labor Day is right around the corner. It won’t be long and we will have another summer in the books and Halloween will be here and gone before you know it.
There has been a lot going on here at West Lake Park (WLP) this, our Lake Restoration Project has begun. The plugs have been pulled and the lakes have been drained. or almost drained, the new retention ponds are almost complete and the second phase will begin soon.

Here are some before and after shots of the Lake of the Hills. Some of the things found after the water was gone have been Disc Golf Discs, fishing lures and rods and reels, tackle boxes, and trolling motors, cell phones and cameras. Stay tuned for for the second phase……..it’s coming soon……..
